The purpose of this
website is to support the intentional community and interested parishioners of Sacred
Heart Parish in
1. The appeal to Archbishop Sean O’Malley, to reinstate Sacred Heart will be posted here, first in draft form, then the final appeal when it is submitted. It is hoped that additional letters from parishioners could be included with the official appeal letter. Letters written in support of the appeal or simply to make a personal statement to the Archbishop will be posted on this site, with the permission of the authors.
2. Events of interest to the community will be posted here. News of parishioners will be posted, as the information is made available.
3. Suggestions for the future will be posted here. This is an intentional community, and the physical removal of buildings and property does not require that the community of people be dissolved. Pentecost found the early followers of Christ lost and bewildered; it was then the foundations of the church were formed. It is only fitting that Pentecost Sunday this year finds us, the parishioners of Sacred Heart, lost and bewildered, and searching for a way to build the foundations of a church.
